Chapter 92: Bharata Departs for Citrakūṭa
Text 2.92.4
तमुवाचाञ्जलिं कृत्वा भरतोऽभिप्रणम्य च।
आश्रमादभिनिष्क्रान्तमृषिमुत्तमतेजसम्॥
tam uvācāñjaliṁ kṛtvā bharato ’bhipraṇamya ca
āśramād abhiniṣkrāntam ṛṣim uttama-tejasam
tam uvāca = and then spoke as follows; añjalim kṛtvā = joined His hands in supplication; bharataḥ = Bharata; abhipraṇamya = offered His respectful obeisances; ca = and; āśramāt = of his āśrama; abhiniṣkrāntam = who was coming out; ṛṣim = sage; uttama-tejasam = unto the greatly powerful.
Bharata joined His palms in supplication and offered His respectful obeisances unto the greatly powerful sage who was coming out of his āśrama and then spoke as follows.
“Who was coming out his āśrama” reveals that the sage was coming out of his āśrama to see Kausalyā and others when Bharata had approached him.
