Chapter 93: Bharata Initiates a Search for Rāma’s Residence

स यात्वा दूरमध्वानं सुपरिश्रान्तवाहनः।
उवाच भरतः श्रीमान्वसिष्ठं मन्त्रिणां वरम्॥
sa yātvā dūram adhvānaṁ supariśrānta-vāhanaḥ
uvāca bharataḥ śrīmān vasiṣṭhaṁ mantriṇāṁ varam
saḥ = when His draught; yātvā = went; dūram adhvānam = a long distance; supariśrānta-vāhanaḥ = they became very tired; uvāca = spoke as follows; bharataḥ = Bharata; śrīmān = then the handsome; vasiṣṭham = to Vasiṣṭha; mantriṇām = of knowers of [good] counsel; varam = the best.
When His draught animals went a long distance, they became very tired. Then the handsome Bharata spoke as follows to Vasiṣṭha, the best of knowers of [good] counsel.
Vasiṣṭha was the best of knowers of [good] counsel on what should be done then.
