Chapter 93: Bharata Initiates a Search for Rāma’s Residence
Text 2.93.26
एवमुक्तास्ततः सर्वे तत्र तस्थुः समन्ततः।
भरतो यत्र धूमाग्रं तत्र दृष्टिं समादधात्॥
evam uktās tataḥ sarve tatra tasthuḥ samantataḥ
bharato yatra dhūmāgraṁ tatra dṛṣṭiṁ samādadhāt
evam uktāḥ = when they were ordered so; tataḥ sarve = all of them; tatra = there; tasthuḥ = stopped; samantataḥ = from which arose; bharataḥ = Bharata; yatra1 dhūma-agram = that column of smoke; tatra = at the spot; dṛṣṭim = His gaze; samādadhāt = fixed.
When they were ordered so, all of them stopped there. Bharata fixed His gaze at the spot from which arose that column of smoke.
