Chapter 94: Rāma Describes the Excellence of Citrakūṭa to Sītā
Text 2.94.3
न राज्याद्भ्रंशनं भद्रे न सुहृद्भिर्विनाभवः।
मनो मे बाधते दृष्ट्वा रमणीयमिमं गिरिम्॥
na rājyād bhraṁśanaṁ bhadre na suhṛdbhir vinā-bhavaḥ
mano me bādhate dṛṣṭvā ramaṇīyam imaṁ girim
na = neither; rājyāt = from the kingdom; bhraṁśanam = by My exile; bhadre = gentle lady; na = nor [disturbed]; suhṛdbhiḥ vinā-bhavaḥ = by the absence of My well-wishers; manaḥ = mind is; me = My; bādhate = disturbed; dṛṣṭvā = upon seeing; ramaṇīyam = lovely; imam = this; girim = mountain.
Gentle lady, upon seeing this lovely mountain, My mind is neither disturbed by My exile from the kingdom nor [disturbed] by the absence of My well-wishers.
Śrī Rāma implies here that He is no longer in the pain of separation from the residents of Ayodhyā.
After stating that Rāma was Himself satisfied, the author points out from the next verse that Rāma pleased Maithilī.
