Text 2.98.11
कृतकृत्या महाभागा वैदेही जनकात्मजा।
भर्तारं सागरान्तायाः पृथिव्या यानुगच्छति॥
kṛta-kṛtyā mahā-bhāgā vaidehī janakātmajā
bhartāraṁ sāgarāntāyāḥ pṛthivyā yānugacchati
kṛta-kṛtyā = is successful; mahā-bhāgā = the greatly fortunate; vaidehī = and princess of Videha; janaka-ātmajā = daughter of Janaka; bhartāram = the maintainer; sāgara-antāyāḥ = bounded by the ocean; pṛthivyāḥ = of the earth; yā = [for] she; anugacchati = is following Him.
The greatly fortunate daughter of Janaka and princess of Videha is successful [for] she is following Him, the maintainer of the earth bounded by the ocean.
“Princess of Videha” indicates that Sītā-devī was born in a noble family. The result and cause of her success is stated in the second line of this verse.
