Chapter 99: Bharata Meets Rāma
Text 2.99.24

prāg-udak-pravaṇāṁ vediṁ viśālāṁ dīpta-pāvakām
dadarśa bharatas tatra puṇyāṁ rāma-niveśane

prāk-udak-pravaṇām = and sloped towards the north-east 4; vedim = altar; viśālām = a spacious; dīpta-pāvakām = the altar shone like fire; dadarśa = saw; bharataḥ = Bharata; tatra = in that; puṇyām = and auspicious; rāma-niveśane = residence of Rāma.

Bharata saw a spacious and auspicious altar in that residence of Rāma. The altar shone like fire and sloped towards the north-east.1
