कच्चिन्निद्रावशं नैषीः कच्चित्काले प्रबुध्यसे।
कच्चिच्चापररात्रेषु चिन्तयस्यर्थनैपुणम्॥
kaccin nidrā-vaśaṁ naiṣīḥ kaccit kāle prabudhyase
kaccic cāpara-rātreṣu cintayasy artha-naipuṇam
kaccit = I hope; nidrā-vaśam na aiṣīḥ = You have not been sleepy [during the day]; kaccit kāle prabudhyase = do you wake up [on time]; kaccit ca = I hope; apara-rātreṣu = at the end of the nights; cintayasi = You deliberate on; artha-naipuṇam = Your financial capacity.
I hope You have not been sleepy [during the day]. Do You wake up [on time]? I hope You deliberate Your financial capacity at the end of the nights.1
1 A king or government head is dutybound to think of his country’s financial capacity to function properly. He is meant to be selflessly worried about the welfare of the citizens of his country, of course, in obedience to scriptural directives, in such a manner that they are materially and spiritually benefitted.
