Chapter 15: The Demigods Appeal to the Lord for Protection
Text 1.15.27

एवमुक्तस्तु देवेशो विष्णुस्त्रिदशपुङ्गवः।
पितामहपुरोगांस्तान्सर्वलोकनमस्कृतः।
अब्रवीत्त्रिदशान्सर्वान्समेतान्धर्मसंहितान्॥

evam uktas tu deveśo viṣṇus tri-daśa-puṅgavaḥ
pitāmaha-purogāṁs
tān sarva-loka-namas-kṛtaḥ
abravīt
tri-daśān sarvān sametān dharma-saṁhitān

evam = thus; uktaḥ tu = when was addressed; deva-iśaḥ = the Lord of the devas; viṣṇuḥ = Viṣṇu; tri-daśa-puṅgavaḥ = the foremost of the celestials; pitāmaha-purogān = headed by Brahmā; tān = the; sarva-loka-namas-kṛtaḥ = and the one offered obeisances by all the worlds; abravīt = He spoke as follows; tri-daśān = demigods; sarvān = to all; sametān = assembled; dharma-saṁhitān = who followed the Vedic dharma of surrendering unto Him.

When Viṣṇu, the Lord of the devas, the foremost of the celestials and the one offered obeisances by all the worlds, was thus addressed, He spoke as follows to all the assembled demigods headed by Brahmā who followed the Vedic dharma of surrendering unto Him.
