Chapter 103: Rāma Meets His Mothers and Vasiṣṭha
Text 2.103.22
सीतापि चरणांस्तासामुपसंगृह्य दुःखिता।
श्वश्रूणामश्रुपूर्णाक्षी सा बभूवाग्रतः स्थिता॥
sītāpi caraṇāṁs tāsām upasaṅgṛhya duḥkhitā
śvaśrūṇām aśru-pūrṇākṣī sā babhūvāgrataḥ sthitā
sītā = Sītā; api = also; caraṇān = the feet; tāsām1 upasaṅgṛhya = grasped; duḥkhitā = in distress; śvaśrūṇām = of her mothers-in-law; aśru-pūrṇa-akṣī = with her eyes filled with tears; sā babhūva agrataḥ sthitā = and then stood before them.
Sītā also grasped the feet of her mothers-in-law and then stood before them in distress with her eyes filled with tears.
