Chapter 103: Rāma Meets His Mothers and Vasiṣṭha
Text 2.103.31

किमेष वाक्यं भरतोऽद्य राघवं प्रणम्य सत्कृत्य च साधु वक्ष्यति।
इतीव तस्यार्यजनस्य तत्त्वतो बभूव कौतूहलमुत्तमं तदा॥

kim eṣa vākyaṁ bharato ’dya rāghavaṁ
praṇamya satkṛtya ca sādhu vakṣyati
itīva tasyārya-janasya tattvato
babhūva kautūhalam uttamaṁ tadā

kim = what; eṣaḥ = is Bharata; vākyam = words; bharataḥ = Bharata; adya = now that; rāghavam = Rāghava; praṇamya = has offered His obeisances; satkṛtya = honoured; ca = and; sādhu = virtuous; vakṣyati iti iva = going to speak to Rāghava; tasya = the; ārya-janasya = noble people; tattvataḥ = truly; babhūva = became; kautūhalam = curious; uttamam = extremely; tadā = then.

The noble people then truly became extremely curious, “Now that Bharata has offered His obeisances and honored Rāghava, what virtuous words is Bharata going to speak to Rāghava?”
