Chapter 105: Rāma Consoles Bharata With Spiritual Instructions
Text 2.105.3

तूष्णीं ते समुपासीना न कश्चित्किंचिदब्रवीत्।
भरतस्तु सुहृन्मध्ये रामं वचनमब्रवीत्॥

tuṣṇīṁ te samupāsīnā na kaścit kiñcid abravīt
bharatas tu suhṛn-madhye rāmaṁ vacanam abravīt

tuṣṇīm = in silence; te = They; samupāsīnāḥ = sat; na kaścit = and no one; kiñcit = anything; abravīt = spoke; bharataḥ tu = Bharata [then]; suhṛt-madhye = in the midst of His well-wishers; rāmam = to Rāma; vacanam = the following words; abravīt = spoke.

They sat in silence and no one spoke anything. In the midst of His well-wishers, Bharata [then] spoke the following words to Rāma.

Considering that Rāma would say, “I am incapable of taking the kingdom that has been already given [to You],” Bharata spoke [the following to convince Rāma] to set aside such a consideration.
