Chapter 110: Vasiṣṭha Requests Rāma to Accept the Throne
Text 2.110.15

भरतात्तु महाबाहोरसितो नाम जायत।
यस्यैते प्रतिराजान उदपद्यन्त शत्रवः।
हैहयास्तालजङ्घाश्च शूराश्च शशिबिन्दवः॥

bharatāt tu mahā-bāhor asito nāma jāyata
yasyaite pratirājāna udapadyanta śatravaḥ
haihayās tālajaṅghāś ca śūrāś ca śaśabindavaḥ

bharatāt tu = Bharata; mahā-bāhoḥ = to the mighty-armed; asitaḥ = Asita; nāma = a person by the name; jāyata = was born; yasya = his; ete = several; pratirājānaḥ = neighboring kings; udapadyanta = became; śatravaḥ = enemies to fight him; haihayāḥ = Haihayas; tālajaṅghāḥ ca = Tālajaṅghas; śūrāḥ = the heroic; ca = and; śaśabindavaḥ = Śaśabindus.

“A person by the name Asita was born to the mighty-armed Bharata. Several neighboring kings—the Haihayas, Tālajaṅghas and the heroic Śaśabindus—became his enemies to fight him.

Haihayas, Tālajaṅghas and Śaśabindus were rulers of their respective countries.
