Chapter 110: Vasiṣṭha Requests Rāma to Accept the Throne
Text 2.110.32
अजश्च सुव्रतश्चैव नाभागस्य सुतावुभौ।
अजस्य चैव धर्मात्मा राजा दशरथः सुतः॥
ajaś ca suvrataś caiva nābhāgasya sutāv ubhau
ajasya caiva dharmātmā rājā daśarathaḥ sutaḥ
ajaḥ ca = Aja; suvrataḥ = Suvrata; ca eva = and; nābhāgasya = of Nābhāga; sutau = sons; ubhau = were the two; ajasya ca eva = of Aja; dharmātmā = whose mind was devoted to dharma; rājā = King; daśarathaḥ = Daśaratha; sutaḥ = was the son.
“Aja and Suvrata were the two sons of Nābhāga. King Daśaratha whose mind was devoted to dharma was the son of Aja.
