Chapter 111: Rāma Agrees to Accept the Throne After Returning to Ayodhyā
Text 2.111.16

तमुवाच महातेजा रामो राजर्षिसत्तमः।
किं मां भरत कुर्वाणं तात प्रत्युपवेक्ष्यसि।।

tam uvāca mahā-tejā rāmo rāja-rṣi-sattamaḥ
kiṁ māṁ bharata kurvāṇaṁ tāta pratyupavekṣyasi

tam = Him; uvāca = told; mahā-tejāḥ = the greatly powerful; rāmaḥ = Rāma; rāja-ṛṣi-sattamaḥ = the best of the saintly kings; kim = what offense; mām = am I; bharata = Bharata; kurvāṇam = committing; tāta = dear; pratyupavekṣyasi = that You protest [in this manner].

The greatly powerful Rāma, the best of the saintly kings, told Him, “Dear Bharata, what offense am I committing that You protest [in this manner]?
