उत्तिष्ठ नरशार्दूल हित्वैतद्दारुणं व्रतम्।
पुरवर्यामितः क्षिप्रमयोध्यां याहि राघव॥
uttiṣṭha nara-śārdūla hitvaitad dāruṇaṁ vratam
pura-varyām itaḥ kṣipram ayodhyāṁ yāhi rāghava
uttiṣṭha = and get up; nara-śārdūla = O prince; hitvā = give up; etat = this; dāruṇam = terrible; vratam = vow; pura-varyām = the best of cities; itaḥ = from here; kṣipram = quickly; ayodhyām = to Ayodhyā; yāhi = go; rāghava = O descendant of Raghu.
“O prince, O descendant of Raghu, give up this terrible vow and get up! Quickly go from here to Ayodhyā, the best of cities.”
