Chapter 115: Bharata Goes to Nandigrāma
Text 2.115.3
गतश्च हि दिवं राजा वनस्थश्च गुरुर्मम।
रामं प्रतीक्षे राज्याय स हि राजा महायशाः॥
gataś ca hi divaṁ rājā vanasthaś ca gurur mama
rāmaṁ pratīkṣe rājyāya sa hi rājā mahā-yaśāḥ
gataḥ ca hi = has gone; divam = to the heavens; rājā = the king; vanasthaḥ = has become a resident of the forest; ca = and; guruḥ = guru; mama = My; rāmam = for Rāma; pratīkṣe = I will wait; rājyāya = to take charge of the kingdom; saḥ hi = because Rāma is the [actual]; rājā = king; mahā-yaśāḥ = of great fame.
The king has gone to the heavens and My guru has become a resident of the forest. I will wait for Rāma to take charge of the kingdom because Rāma of great fame is the [actual] king.
