Chapter 116: The Sages Depart from Citrakūṭa
Text 2.116.2
ये तत्र चित्रकूटस्य पुरस्तात्तापसाश्रमे।
राममाश्रित्य निरतास्तानलक्षयदुत्सुकान्॥
ye tatra citrakūṭasya purastāt tāpasāśrame
rāmam āśritya niratās tān alakṣayad utsukān
ye = who; tatra = at the; citrakūṭasya = in Citrakūṭa [now]; purastāt = formerly; tāpasa-āśrame = āśrama of the ascetics; rāmam āśritya = under His shelter; niratāḥ = had engaged [in austerities]; tān = that those; alakṣayat = Rāma understood; utsukān = were eager to leave.
Rāma understood that those who had formerly engaged [in austerities] under His shelter at the āśrama of the ascetics in Citrakūṭa [now] were eager to leave.
