Chapter 116: The Sages Depart from Citrakūṭa
Text 2.116.4
तेषामौत्सुक्यमालक्ष्य रामस्त्वात्मनि शङ्कितः।
कृताञ्जलिरुवाचेदमृषिं कुलपतिं ततः॥
teṣām autsukyam ālakṣya rāmas tv ātmani śaṅkitaḥ
kṛtāñjalir uvācedam ṛṣiṁ kula-patiṁ tataḥ
teṣām = their; autsukyam = eagerness [to depart]; ālakṣya = sensing; rāmaḥ tu = Rāma; ātmani śaṅkitaḥ = who was their object of fear; kṛta-añjaliḥ = joined His palms in supplication; uvāca = and spoke; idam = the following; ṛṣim = to the sage; kula-patim tataḥ = who was the leader of the community.
Sensing their eagerness [to depart], Rāma who was their object of fear joined His palms in supplication and spoke the following to the sage who was the leader of the community.
