Chapter 116: The Sages Depart from Citrakūṭa
Text 2.116.19
तत्पुरा राम शारीरीमुपहिंसां तपस्विषु।
दर्शयन्ति हि दुष्टास्ते त्यक्ष्याम इममाश्रमम्॥
tat purā rāma śārīrīm upahiṁsāṁ tapasviṣu
darśayanti hi duṣṭās te tyakṣyāma imam āśramam
tat = so; purā1 rāma = Rāma; śārīrīm = physical; upahiṁsām = violence; tapasviṣu = on the ascetics; darśayanti = will exhibit; hi = certainly; duṣṭāḥ = mischievous ones; te = because those; tyakṣyāmaḥ = we will leave; imam = this; āśramam = āśrama.
Rāma, so we will leave this āśrama because those mischievous ones will certainly exhibit physical violence on the ascetics.1
