Chapter 116: The Sages Depart from Citrakūṭa
Text 2.116.18
तैर्दुरात्मभिरामृष्टानाश्रमान्प्रजिहासवः।
गमनायान्यदेशस्य चोदयन्त्यृषयोऽद्य माम्॥
tair durātmabhir āmṛṣtān āśramān prajihāsavaḥ
gamanāyānya-deśasya codayanty ṛṣayo ’dya mām
taiḥ = by those; durātmabhiḥ = evil-minds; āmṛṣtān = seized; āśramān = the āśramas; prajihāsavaḥ = desiring to abandon; gamanāya = [that they should] go; anya-deśasya = to another place; codayanti = request; ṛṣayaḥ = the sages; adya = now; mām = me.
Desiring to abandon the āśramas seized by those evil-minds, the sages now request me [that they should] go to another place.1
1 Actually the demons attacked sages who were either impure or inattentive. This will noted in text 2.119.19.
