Chapter 117: Anasūyā Instructs Sītā About Strī-dharma
Text 2.117.1
राघवस्त्वथ यातेषु तपस्विषु विचिन्तयन्।
न तत्रारोचयद्वासं कारणैर्बहुभिस्तदा॥
rāghavas tv atha yāteṣu tapasviṣu vicintayan
na tatrārocayad vāsaṁ kāraṇair bahubhis tadā
rāghavaḥ tu = Rāma; atha = after; yāteṣu = had departed; tapasviṣu = the ascetics; vicintayan = contemplated; na tatra arocayat = became dissatisfied; vāsam = with His residence [in Citrakūṭa]; kāraṇaiḥ bahubhiḥ tadā = and for various reasons.
After the ascetics had departed, Rāma contemplated and for various reasons became dissatisfied with His residence [in Citrakūṭa].
This chapter describes Lord Rāma’s entry into Atri’s āśrama.
