अनसूयां महाभागां तापसीं धर्मचारिणीम्।
प्रतिगृह्णीष्व वैदेहीमब्रवीदृषिसत्तमः।
रामाय चाचचक्षे तां तापसीं धर्मचारिणीम्॥
anasūyāṁ mahā-bhāgāṁ tāpasīṁ dharmacāriṇīm
pratigṛhṇīṣva vaidehīm abravīd ṛṣi-sattamaḥ
rāmāya cācacakṣe tāṁ tāpasīṁ dharmacāriṇīm
anasūyām = wife Anasūyā; mahā-bhāgām = who was greatly fortunate; tāpasīm = his ascetic; dharmacāriṇīm = and who adhered to dharma; pratigṛhṇīṣva = receive; vaidehīm = Vaidehī; abravīt = told; ṛṣi-sattamaḥ = the best of the sages; rāmāya ca = Rāma; ācacakṣe = he then informed; tām tāpasīm = about the ascetic lady; dharmacāriṇīm = who adhered to dharma.
The best of the sages told his ascetic wife Anasūyā who was greatly fortunate and who adhered to dharma, “Receive Vaidehī!” He then informed Rāma about the ascetic lady who adhered to dharma.
