Chapter 118: Conversation Between Sītā and Anasūyā

आगच्छन्त्याश्च विजनं वनमेवं भयावहम्।
समोहितं मे श्वश्र्वा च हृदयेतद्धृतं महत्॥
āgacchantyāś ca vijanaṁ vanam evaṁ bhayāvaham
samāhitaṁ me śvaśrvā ca hṛdaye tad dhṛtaṁ mahat
āgacchantyāḥ = when I was coming; ca = and; vijanam = to the desolate; vanam = forest; evam bhaya-āvaham = frightening; samāhitam = imparted to me; me = my; śvaśrvā ca = by mother-in-law Kausalyā-devī; hṛdaye = in my heart; tat dhṛtam = I have preserved; mahat = the great instruction.
I have preserved in my heart the great instruction imparted to me by my mother-in-law Kausalyā-devī when I was coming to the desolate and frightening forest.
