Chapter 118: Conversation Between Sītā and Anasūyā
Text 2.118.11
वरिष्ठा सर्वनारीणामेषा च दिवि देवता।
रोहिणी न विना चन्द्रं मुहूर्तमपि दृश्यते॥
variṣṭhā sarva-nārīṇām eṣā ca divi devatā
rohiṇī na vinā candraṁ muhūrtam api dṛśyate
variṣṭhā = very best; sarva-nārīṇām = among all women; eṣā ca = the; divi = in the celestial worlds; devatā = goddess; rohiṇī = Rohiṇī; na = cannot; vinā = without; candram = her husband Candra; muhūrtam api = even for a moment; dṛśyate = be seen.
Rohiṇī, the very best goddess among all women in the celestial worlds, cannot be seen even for a moment without her husband Candra.
