Chapter 118: Conversation Between Sītā and Anasūyā

ततोऽहं तत्र रामाय पित्रा सत्याभिसन्धिना।
निश्चिता दातुमुद्यम्य जलभाजनमुत्तमम्॥
tato ’haṁ tatra rāmāya pitrā satyābhisandhinā
niścitā dātum udyamya jala-bhājanam uttamam
tataḥ = then; aham = me; tatra = there; rāmāya = to Rāma; pitrā = my father; satya-abhisandhinā = faithful to his promise; niścitā = and decided; dātum = to give; udyamya = held; jala-bhājanam = kamaṇḍalu; uttamam = an excellent.
Then my father, faithful to his promise, held an excellent kamaṇḍalu and decided to give me to Rāma there.
