Chapter 118: Conversation Between Sītā and Anasūyā
Text 2.118.51
दीयमानां न तु तदा प्रतिजग्राह राघवः।
अविज्ञाय पितुश्छन्दमयोध्याधिपतेः प्रभोः॥
dīyamānāṁ na tu tadā pratijagrāha rāghavaḥ
avijñāya pituś chandam ayodhyādhipateḥ prabhoḥ
dīyamānām = me [though I] was offered by my father; na tu = did not; tadā pratijagrāha = accept; rāghavaḥ = Rāghava; avijñāya = [but] without understanding; pituḥ = and father; chandam = the opinion 3; ayodhyā-adhipateḥ = the ruler of Ayodhyā; prabhoḥ = of His master.
[But] without understanding the opinion of His master and father, the ruler of Ayodhyā, Rāghava did not accept me [though] I was offered by my father.
