Text 2.119.5
ऋषीणामग्निहोत्रेषु हुतेषु विधिपूर्वकम्।।
कपोताङ्गारुणो धूमो दृश्यते पवनोद्धतः॥५॥
ṛṣīṇām agnihotreṣu huteṣu vidhi-pūrvakam
kapotāṅgāruṇo dhūmo dṛśyate pavanoddhataḥ
ṛṣīṇām = by the sages; agni-hotreṣu = from agnihotra sacrifices; huteṣu vidhi-pūrvakam = whose oblations are duly offered; kapota-aṅga-aruṇaḥ = as dark-red as a pigeon’s neck 1; dhūmaḥ = smoke; dṛśyate = we can see; pavana-uddhataḥ = driven up by the wind.
We can see smoke as dark-red as a pigeon’s neck driven up by the wind. The smoke is coming from agnihotra fire sacrifices whose oblations are duly offered by the sages.
