Canto 3 -
Araṇya-kāṇḍa
Chapter 1: Lord Rāma Meets the Sages of Daṇḍakāraṇya
Text 3.1.14

अत्रैनं हि महाभागाः सर्वभूतहिते रतम्।
अतिथिं पर्णशालायां राघवं सन्न्यवेशयन्॥

atrainaṁ hi mahā-bhāgāḥ sarva-bhūta-hite ratam
atithiṁ
parṇa-śālāyāṁ rāghavaṁ sannyaveśayan

atra = in the āśrama; enam1 hi mahā-bhāgāḥ = the fortunate sages; sarva-bhūta-hite = in the welfare of all creatures; ratam = who was absorbed; atithim = their guest; parṇa-śālāyām = in their leaf-cottage; rāghavam = Rāghava; sannyaveśayan = hosted.

The fortunate sages hosted their guest Rāghava, who was absorbed in the welfare of all creatures, in their leaf-cottage in the āśrama.

Atithim (“guest”) indicates that Rāma was justifiably worthy of their worship.

1 Technical note: enam rāghavam.
