Chapter 6: The Sages Inform Rāma About the Rākṣasas Torturing Them
Text 3.6.24
तस्य मेऽयं वने वासो भविष्यति महाफलः॥
tasya me ’yaṁ vane vāso bhaviṣyati mahā-phalaḥ
tasya me = My; ayam1 vane = in the forest; vāsaḥ = residence; bhaviṣyati = will [then] be; mahā-phalaḥ = very fruitful.
My residence in the forest will [then] be very fruitful!
1 Technical note: ayam vāsaḥ.
Lord Rāma had come to the forest just to fulfill the purpose of these sages. [Therefore] His residence in the forest will be very fruitful.
