Chapter 8: Śrī Rāma Departs From Sutīkṣṇa’s Āśrama
Text 3.8.17
एवमुक्तस्तथेत्युक्त्वा काकुत्स्थः सहलक्ष्मणः।
प्रदक्षिणं मुनिं कृत्वा प्रस्थातुमुपचक्रमे॥
evam uktas tathety uktvā kākutsthaḥ saha-lakṣmaṇaḥ
pradakṣiṇaṁ muniṁ kṛtvā prasthātum upacakrame
evam = thus; uktaḥ = upon being addressed; tathā iti = alright; uktvā = said; kākutsthaḥ = the descendant of Kakutstha; saha-lakṣmaṇaḥ = and Lakṣmaṇa; pradakṣiṇam munim kṛtvā = circumambulated the sage; prasthātum = to depart; upacakrame = and prepared.
Upon being addressed thus, the descendant of Kakutstha and Lakṣmaṇa said, “Alright,” circumambulated the sage and prepared to depart.
