Text 3.10.21

मम स्नेहाच्च सौहार्दादिदमुक्तं त्वयाऽनघे।
परितुष्टोऽस्म्यहं सीते न ह्यनिष्टोऽनुशिष्यते॥

mama snehāc ca sauhārdād idam uktaṁ tvayānaghe
parituṣṭo ’smy ahaṁ sīte na hy aniṣṭo ’nuśiṣyate

mama = My; snehāt = because of affection for you; ca = and; sauhārdāt = your good wishes upon Me; idam = this; uktam = have spoken; tvayā = you; anaghe = sinless; parituṣṭaḥ = very satisfied; asmi = am; aham = I; sīte = Sītā; na = not; hi = because; aniṣṭaḥ = a person who is not dear; anuśiṣyate = is advised.

Sinless Sītā, you have spoken this because of My affection for you and your good wishes upon Me.1 I am very satisfied because a person who is not dear is not advised.

Rāma informs her that He understood her heart. He knew that she had advised Him that their separation would be intolerable [to both].

1 Rāmāyaṇa-bhūṣaṇa: mama tvayi snehāt tava mayi sauhārdāc coktam.
