Chapter 11: Rāma Goes to Agastya’s Āśrama
Text 3.11.31
अथाश्रमस्थो विनयात्कदाचित्तं महामुनिम्।
उपासीनः स काकुत्स्थः सुतीक्ष्णमिदमब्रवीत्॥
athāśramastho vinayāt kadācit taṁ mahā-munim
upāsīnaḥ sa kākutsthaḥ sutīkṣṇam idam abravīt
atha āśramasthaḥ = in the āśrama; vinayāt = humbly; kadācit = once upon a time; tam = to the; mahā-munim = great sage; upāsīnaḥ = while sitting next; saḥ = the; kākutsthaḥ = descendant of Kakutstha; sutīkṣṇam = Sutīkṣṇa; idam = the following; abravīt = spoke.
Once upon a time, while sitting next to the great sage Sutīkṣṇa in the āśrama, the descendant of Kakutstha humbly spoke the following.
