Chapter 11: Rāma Goes to Agastya’s Āśrama
Text 3.11.53
एतच्च वनमध्यस्थं कृष्णाभ्रशिखरोपमम्।
पावकस्याश्रमस्थस्य धूमाग्रं सम्प्रदृश्यते॥
etac ca vana-madhyasthaṁ kṛṣṇābhra-śikharopamam
pāvakasyāśramasthasya dhūmāgraṁ sampradṛśyate
etat = here; ca = and; vana-madhyastham = in the middle of [this] forest; kṛṣṇa-ābhra-śikhara-upamam = resembling the crown of a dark blue cloud; pāvakasya = from the fire; āśramasthasya = in the āśrama; dhūma-agram = the tip of the smoke; sampradṛśyate = is clearly seen.
And in the middle of [this] forest, resembling the crown of a dark blue cloud, the tip of the smoke from the fire is clearly seen in the āśrama here.1
