Chapter 11: Rāma Goes to Agastya’s Āśrama
Text 3.11.64
ततः सम्पन्नमित्युक्त्वा दत्त्वा हस्तोदकं ततः।
भ्रातरं निष्क्रमस्वेति चेल्वलः सोऽभ्यभाषत॥
tataḥ sampannam ity uktvā dattvā hastodakaṁ tataḥ
bhrātaraṁ niṣkramasveti celvalaḥ so ’bhyabhāṣata
tataḥ = after the śrāddha ceremony was over; sampannam = the ceremony had concluded; iti = that; uktvā = declared; dattvā = gave; hasta-udakam = water to [Agastya to wash] his hands; tataḥ = then; bhrātaram = his brother; niṣkramasva iti = come out; ca = and; ilvalaḥ saḥ = Ilvala; abhyabhāṣata = told.
After the śrāddha ceremony was over, Ilvala declared that the ceremony had concluded, gave water to [Agastya to wash] his hands and then told his brother, “Come out!”
