Chapter 11: Rāma Goes to Agastya’s Āśrama
Text 3.11.69
तस्यायमाश्रमो भ्रातुस्तटाकवनशोभितः।
विप्रानुकम्पया येन कर्मेदं दुष्करं कृतम्॥
tasyāyam āśramo bhrātus taṭāka-vana-śobhitaḥ
viprānukampayā yena karmedaṁ duṣkaraṁ kṛtam
tasya = of his; ayam = here; āśramaḥ = is the āśrama; bhrātuḥ = brother; taṭāka-vana-śobhitaḥ = that is beautified by this lake and forest; vipra-anukampayā = out of compassion for the vipras; yena = the sage Agastya; karma = task; idam = this; duṣkaram = difficult; kṛtam = performed.
Out of compassion for the vipras, the sage Agastya performed this difficult task. Here is the āśrama of his brother that is beautified by this lake and forest.
