Chapter 11: Rāma Goes to Agastya’s Āśrama
Text 3.11.71
उपास्य पश्चिमां सन्ध्यां सह भ्रात्रा यथाविधि।
प्रविवेशाश्रमपदं तमृषिं सोऽभ्यवादयत्॥
upāsya paścimāṁ sandhyāṁ saha bhrātrā yathā-vidhi
praviveśāśrama-padaṁ tam ṛṣiṁ so ’bhyavādayat
upāsya = having performed; paścimām = the final; sandhyām = sandhyā-vandana; saha = with; bhrātrā = His brother; yathā-vidhi = according to the scriptural regulations; praviveśa = entered; āśrama-padam = āśrama area; tam = the; ṛṣim = unto the sage; saḥ = He; abhyavādayat = and offered his respectful obeisances.
Having performed the final sandhyā-vandana with His brother according to the scriptural regulations, He entered the āśrama area and offered his respectful obeisances unto the sage.
