Chapter 12: Agastya Requests Rāma to Protect the Sages
Text 3.12.30
एवमुक्त्वा फलैर्मूलैः पुष्पैरन्यैश्च राघवम्।
पूजयित्वा यथाकामं पुनरेव ततोऽब्रवीत्॥
evam uktvā phalair mūlaiḥ puṣpair anyaiś ca rāghavam
pūjayitvā yathā-kāmaṁ punar eva tato ’bravīt
evam = thus; uktvā = having spoken; phalaiḥ = with fruits; mūlaiḥ = roots; puṣpaiḥ = flowers; anyaiḥ = other [items]; ca = and; rāghavam = Rāghava; pūjayitvā = he honored; yathā-kāmam = as desired; punaḥ eva = again; tataḥ = and then; abravīt = spoke the following.
Having spoken thus, he again honored Rāghava with fruits, roots, flowers and other [items] as desired and then spoke the following.
He honored Rāghava again by giving fruits, roots, flowers and other [items] to Sītā-devī.
