Chapter 13: Rāma Departs for Pañcavaṭī
Text 3.13.1

राम प्रीतोऽस्मि भद्रं ते परितुष्टोऽस्मि लक्ष्मण।
अभिवादयितुं यन्मां प्राप्तौ स्थः सह सीतया॥

rāma prīto ’smi bhadraṁ te parituṣṭo ’smi lakṣmaṇa
abhivādayituṁ yan māṁ prāptau sthaḥ saha sītayā

rāma = Rāma; prītaḥ = happy; asmi = I am; bhadram = [may there be] auspiciousness; te = unto You; parituṣṭaḥ = satisfied; asmi = I am; lakṣmaṇa = Lakṣmaṇa; abhivādayitum = to offer Your respects; yat = since; mām = unto Me; prāptau sthaḥ = You two have arrived; saha = with; sītayā = Sītā.

Rāma, I am happy. Lakṣmaṇa, I am satisfied. [May there be] auspiciousness unto You since You two have arrived with Sītā to offer Your respects unto Me.

Permitted by Agastya to kill Khara, Rāma departed for Pañcavaṭī. These events are described in this chapter.
