Chapter 17: Śūrpaṇakhā Meets Rāma
Text 3.17.4
स रामः पर्णशालायामासीनः सह सीतया।
विरराज महाबाहुश्चित्रया चन्द्रमा इव॥
sa rāmaḥ parṇa-śālāyām āsīnaḥ saha sītayā
virarāja mahā-bāhuś citrayā candramā iva
saḥ = the; rāmaḥ = Rāma; parṇa-śālāyām = in the leaf cottage; āsīnaḥ = seated; saha = with; sītayā = Sītā; virarāja = shone; mahā-bāhuḥ = mighty armed; citrayā = with the star Citrā; candramāḥ = the full moon; iva = like.
Seated in the leaf cottage with Sītā, the mighty armed Rāma shone like the full moon with the star Citrā.
