Chapter 28: Śrī Rāma Attacks Khara
Text 3.28.11
तं रथस्थं धनुष्पाणिं राक्षसं पर्यवस्थितम्।
ददृशुः सर्वभूतानि पाशहस्तमिवान्तकम्॥
taṁ rathasthaṁ dhanuḥ-pāṇiṁ rākṣasaṁ paryavasthitam
dadṛśuḥ sarva-bhūtāni pāśa-hastam ivāntakam
tam = the; rathastham = standing on his chariot; dhanuḥ-pāṇim = with a bow in hand; rākṣasam = rākṣasa; paryavasthitam = busy; dadṛśuḥ = considered; sarva-bhūtāni = all creatures; pāśa-hastam = with a noose in hand; iva antakam = to be the god of death.
All creatures considered the busy rākṣasa standing on his chariot with a bow in hand to be the god of death with a noose in hand.
