sa darśanīyo bahudhā vikīrṇaḥ kāñcana-dhvajaḥ

saḥ = that; darśanīyaḥ = pleasant; bahudhā = into several pieces; vikīrṇaḥ = torn apart; kāñcana-dhvajaḥ = gold flag; jagāma = fell; dharaṇīm = on the ground; sūryaḥ = the sun [falls]; devatānām = of the celestial deities; iva = just as; ājñayā = on the order.
That pleasant gold flag, torn apart into several pieces, fell on the ground just as the sun [falls] on the order of the celestial deities.1
