Chapter 29: Rāma Breaks Khara’s Mace
Text 3.29.3
उद्वेजनीयो भूतानां नृशंसः पापकर्मकृत्।
त्रयाणामपि लोकानामीश्वरोऽपि न तिष्ठति॥
udvejanīyo bhūtānāṁ nṛśaṁsaḥ pāpa-karmakṛt
trayāṇām api lokānām īśvaro ’pi na tiṣṭhati
udvejanīyaḥ = who agitates; bhūtānām = living beings; nṛśaṁsaḥ = and cruelly murders them; pāpa-karmakṛt = a performer of sinful activities; trayāṇām api = of the three; lokānām = worlds; īśvaraḥ = he is the lord; api = even if; na tiṣṭhati = cannot live.
A performer of sinful activities who agitates living beings and cruelly murders them cannot live even if he is the lord of the three worlds.
