Chapter 31: Rāvaṇa’s Conversation with Akampana and Mārīca
Text 3.31.41
राक्षसेन्द्रवचः श्रुत्वा मारीचो वाक्यमब्रवीत्॥
rākṣasendra-vacaḥ śrutvā mārīco vākyam abravīt
rākṣasa-indra-vacaḥ = the words of the lord of the rākṣasas; śrutvā = upon hearing; mārīcaḥ = Mārīca; vākyam = the [following] words; abravīt = spoke.
Upon hearing the words of the lord of the rākṣasas, Mārīca spoke the [following] words.
