आयुधं किंच रामस्य निहता येन राक्षसाः।
खरश्च निहतः सङ्ख्ये दूषणस्त्रिशिरास्तथा।
तत्त्वं ब्रूहि मनोज्ञाङ्गि केन त्वं च विरूपिता॥
āyudhaṁ kiṁ ca rāmasya nihatā yena rākṣasāḥ
kharaś ca nihataḥ saṅkhye dūṣaṇas triśirās tathā
tattvaṁ brūhi manojñāṅgi kena tvaṁ ca virūpitā
āyudham = is weapon; kim = of what kind; ca = and; rāmasya = Rāma’s; nihatāḥ = were killed; yena = with which; rākṣasāḥ = the rākṣasas; kharaḥ = Khara; ca = and; nihataḥ = were slain; saṅkhye = in battle; dūṣaṇaḥ = Dūṣaṇa; triśirāḥ = Triśirā; tathā = and; tattvam = the truth; brūhi = speak; manojña-aṅgi = O lady who had a charming body; kena = who; tvam ca = you; virūpitā = disfigured.
And of what kind is Rāma’s weapon, with which the rākṣasas were killed and Khara, Dūṣaṇa and Triśirā were slain in battle? O lady who had a charming body, speak the truth!1 Who disfigured you?
1 Manojñāṅgi cannot be translated as “O lady who has a charming body” because right now she is in a deformed state. But the word indicates that she used to have a charming body.
