सा तं सम्प्रेक्ष्य सुश्रोणी कुसुमान्यपचिन्वती।
हैमराजतवर्णाभ्यां पार्श्वाभ्यामुपशोभितम्॥
प्रहृष्टा चानवद्याङ्गी मृष्टहाटकवर्णिनी।
भर्तारमभिचक्रन्द लक्ष्मणं चापि सायुधम्॥
sā taṁ samprekṣya suśroṇī kusumāny apacinvatī
haima-rājata-varṇābhyāṁ pārśvābhyām upaśobhitam
prahṛṣṭā cānavadyāṅgī mṛṣṭa-hāṭaka-varṇinī
bhartāram abhicakranda lakṣmaṇaṁ cāpi sāyudham
sā = Sītā-devī; tam = the [deer]; samprekṣya = when noticed; suśroṇī = that lady whose hips were beautiful; kusumāni = flowers; apacinvatī = while picking; haima-rājata-varṇābhyām = by a golden and silver complexion respectively; pārśvābhyām = on both sides; upaśobhitam = that was beautified; prahṛṣṭā ca = she became delighted; anavadya-aṅgī = limbs spotless; mṛṣṭa-hāṭaka-varṇinī = and complexion of pure gold 1; bhartāram = to her husband; abhicakranda = loudly cried out; lakṣmaṇam = Lakṣmaṇa; ca api = and; sa-āyudham = to come with their weapons.
While picking flowers, when Sītā-devī noticed the [deer] that was beautified on both sides by a golden and silver complexion respectively, she became delighted. That lady, whose hips were beautiful, limbs spotless and complexion of pure gold, loudly cried out to her husband and Lakṣmaṇa to come with their weapons.1

I worship Śrī Rāma who followed the magical deer, desiring to fulfill the cherished desire of Sītā-devī who was exclusively cared for by Him.1
“By golden and silver complexion respectively” indicates that [Mārīca’s] either side had a different complexion.
GLOSS. Abhicakranda indicates that Sītā-devī cried out.2 The poet thus indicates that an inauspicious activity will take place in the future.
