एवं सीतावचः श्रुत्वा तं दृष्ट्वा मृगमद्भुतम्।
लोभितस्तेन रूपेण सीतया च प्रचोदितः।
उवाच राघवो हृष्टो भ्रातरं लक्ष्मणं वचः॥
evaṁ sītā-vacaḥ śrutvā taṁ dṛṣṭvā mṛgam adbhutam
lobhitas tena rūpeṇa sītayā ca pracoditaḥ
uvāca rāghavo hṛṣṭo bhrātaraṁ lakṣmaṇaṁ vacaḥ
evam = these; sītā-vacaḥ = words of Sītā-devī; śrutvā = [thus] heard; tam = that; dṛṣṭvā = saw; mṛgam = deer; adbhutam = wonderful; lobhitaḥ = He became allured; tena = by the; rūpeṇa = beauty of that deer; sītayā = [when] Sītā; ca = and; pracoditaḥ = requested Him [thus]; uvāca = and spoke; rāghavaḥ = Rāghava; hṛṣṭaḥ = in delight; bhrātaram = to His brother; lakṣmaṇam = Lakṣmaṇa; vacaḥ = the [following] words.
[Thus] Rāghava heard these words of Sītā-devī and saw that wonderful deer. [When] Sītā requested Him [thus], He became allured by the beauty of that deer and spoke the [following] words in delight to His brother Lakṣmaṇa.
