Chapter 46: Rāvaṇa Disguises Himself and Approaches Sītā
Text 3.46.24
सा प्रतिक्राम भद्रं ते न त्वं वस्तुमिहार्हसि।
राक्षसानामयं वासो घोराणां कामरूपिणाम्॥
sā pratikrāma bhadraṁ te na tvaṁ vastum ihārhasi
rākṣasānām ayaṁ vāso ghorāṇāṁ kāma-rūpiṇām
sā = such a woman as you; pratikrāma = should return to your home; bhadram = may there be auspiciousness; te = unto you; na = not; tvam = you; vastum = stay; iha = here; arhasi = should; rākṣasānām = rākṣasas; ayam = this; vāsaḥ = is the residence; ghorāṇām = of terrible; kāma-rūpiṇām = who can change forms at will.
Such a woman as you should return to your home! May there be auspiciousness unto you! You should not stay here. This is the residence of terrible rākṣasas who can change forms at will.
