Chapter 47: Rāvaṇa Reveals his Identity to Sītā

त्वां तु काञ्चनवर्णाभां दृष्ट्वा कौशेयवासिनीम्।
रतिं स्वकेषु दारेषु नाधिगच्छाम्यनिन्दिते॥
tvāṁ tu kāñcana-varṇābhāṁ dṛṣṭvā kauśeya-vāsinīm
ratiṁ svakeṣu dāreṣu nādhigacchāmy anindite
tvām tu = you; kāñcana-varṇa-ābhām = you have the complexion of molten gold; dṛṣṭvā = upon seeing you; kauśeya-vāsinīm = and you are dressed in silk; ratim = any attraction; svakeṣu = to my; dāreṣu = wives; na adhigacchāmi = I no longer experience; anindite = O irreproachable lady.
O irreproachable lady, you have the complexion of molten gold and you are dressed in silk. Upon seeing you, I no longer experience any attraction to my wives!
