अवसज्य शिलां कण्ठे समुद्रं तर्तुमिच्छसि।
सूर्याचन्द्रमसौ चोभौ पाणिभ्यां हर्तुमिच्छसि।
यो रामस्य प्रियां भार्यां प्रधर्षयितुमिच्छसि॥

sūryā-candramasau cobhau pāṇibhyāṁ hartum icchasi
yo rāmasya priyāṁ bhāryāṁ pradharṣayitum icchasi
avasajya = after tying; śilām = a stone; kaṇṭhe = around your neck; samudram = the ocean; tartum = to swim across; icchasi = wish; sūrya-candramasau = the sun and the moon; ca = and; ubhau = both; pāṇibhyām = with your two hands; hartum = to seize; icchasi = wish; yaḥ = who; rāmasya = Rāma’s; priyām = beloved; bhāryām = wife; pradharṣayitum = for the sake of oppressing; icchasi = you wish.
For the sake of oppressing Rāma’s beloved wife, you wish to swim across the ocean after tying a stone around your neck and wish to seize both the sun and the moon with your two hands.
