Chapter 54: Rāvaṇa Brings Sītā to Laṅkā
Text 3.54.12
सोऽभिगम्य पुरीं लङ्कां सुविभक्तमहापथाम्।
संरूढ-कक्ष्याबहुलं स्वमन्तःपुरमाविशत्॥
so ’bhigamya purīṁ laṅkāṁ suvibhakta-mahā-pathām
saṁrūḍha-kakṣyā-bahulaṁ svam antaḥ-puram āviśat
saḥ = he; abhigamya = having reached; purīm = the city; laṅkām = of Laṅkā; suvibhakta-mahā-pathām = which had very neatly partitioned grand roads; saṁrūḍha-kakṣyā-bahulam = whose gates were attached to several rooms containing crowds of people; svam = his; antaḥ-puram = inner quarters; āviśat = entered.
Having reached the city of Laṅkā which had very neatly partitioned grand roads, he entered his inner quarters whose gates were attached to several rooms containing crowds of people.
